Program and curriculum

Although the Conseil des écoles fransaskoises respects the curriculum developed and recommended by the Ministry of Education, its educational program contains unique and additional content designed to meet the needs of French-speaking students. All subjects are taught in French with the exception of English Language Arts. This ELA course is the same as the one dispensed by the public and separate school systems of Saskatchewan.

The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises is proud to offer a preschool and kindergarten education program in all of its schools. On-site daycare services and fulltime kindergarten are also available in most regions.

Excellent Results Achieved!

CÉF students across the province have recently undergone standardized testing administered by the Ministry of Education. Their results were then compared to those achieved by other students in the province. We are proud of our Grade 8 students, whose results came in significantly higher than the provincial average in mathematics.

In English Reading Comprehension, the CÉF’s Grade 7 students also averaged results significantly higher than the provincial average for students at the same grade level, and this after only 3 years of English instruction.

The CÉF promotes excellence in an environment that fosters cultural, academic and personal growth. Your child will have access to a full range of courses that will prepare him or her for the work force or postsecondary education.  This includes an practical and applied arts program aimed at students who wish to receive specialized training in fields such as cosmetics, mechanics, food service and woodworking to name a few.

A well-know cultural program and a series of extracurricular activities complement the Department of Learning curriculum. So why don’t you give us a call and find out if your child qualifies to attend. Learn how your child can take advantage of a multifaceted education and have a rewarding experience.
