Conseil d’école (local boards of trustees)

The parents of each school must elect a " conseil d’école " composed of a minimum of four to a maximum of nine trustees. With one exception, all members of the " conseil d’école " must be parents of students enrolled in the school. One member, the community representative, must be a minority language adult residing within the school’s attendance area.  All are elected by parents of the school residing in the attendance area.

The local trustees’ two year mandate is to represent the parents by expressing concerns, giving advice and recommendations to the Board of Education (Conseil scolaire fransaskois, or CSF) and by participating in long-term planning for school programs and activities.
